Prostrate Center at the University Medical Center Freiburg
The newly founded Prostrate Center in the urology department of the University Medical Center Freiburg is a contact point for all patients who suffer from prostrate illnesses. The basis for individual and thorough diagnostics and treatment according to patient autonomy is detailed and comprehensive information of patients, not only in the hospital but also the practices of urology consultant doctors and interdisciplinary surgeries. The University Medical Center offers every means of diagnostics and therapy to ensure the best possible care for patients.
The following clinic departments are involved in the Prostrate Center: urology, radiology, oncology, nuclear medicine, pathology (including referential pathology), as well as rehabilitation facilities and the support group for prostrate cancer. The treatment of tumour illnesses follows international and is carried out in close co-operation with the Comprehensive Cancer Centre Freiburg.
