Childbirth and newborn care

Approximately 1,300 newborns are born in the delivery room of the University Medical Centre Freiburg each year. Our department provides all of the most modern childbirth methods and newest newborn care to the mother in a warm and cozy setting. The range of services is immense – from ‘delivery in water’ to ‘c-section’. Caring nurses will do everything to make this important moment memorable for the mother and child. Alternative methods such as homeopathy and acupuncture may be used at the maternity patients’ request.
