According to the latest FOCUS hospital Ranking 2023, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is one of the top four medical centers in Germany and Number 1 in Baden-Württemberg.

For more than 20 years, FOCUS magazine and FOCUS-GESUNDHEIT [‘FOCUS HEALTH’] have published rankings of the leading medical institutions in Germany. The ranking is compiled by parameters such as case numbers, online surveys, certified centers, as well as expert interviews, quality reports and surveys. Patient satisfaction is also determined and taken into account.

The placement in the ranking is based on the number of recommended specialist clinics and on how many top physicians are working in the hospital. 51 clinics and 61 physicians of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg are listed in this year’s ranking.

For the hospital ranking 2023, more than 1,600 hospitals were rated in a nationwide comparison - this makes the ranking the largest in the German-speaking region.
