Treatment of small intestine cancer in Germany

Cancer of small intestine is a malignant tumor that develops from tissues of small intestine and can spread to neighboring organs or even throughout the body. Malignant tumors of the small intestine account for only approximately 1% of all such tumors of gastrointestinal tract.

Treatment for small intestine cancer depends on the stage of the disease and type of tumor. In most cases, surgical removal of the cancer is performed, which often leads to reduction in symptoms and contributes to a healthy living.

If surgery is not possible, or if there is a tumor sensitive to chemotherapeutic agents, conservative therapy is used to suppress growth and interfere with the development of tumor cells. Highly qualified German health specialists work to provide up-to-the-minute treatment of small intestine cancer to all patients.
