Prof. Dr. Dirk Westermann is the Medical Director of the Department of Cardiology and Angiology at the University Heart Center Freiburg. He is an internationally recognized interventional cardiologist with a strong focus on acute cardiovascular diseases and innovative treatment strategies including complex coronary and valvular interventions.
Following his medical training and academic career, Professor Westermann specialized in general and interventional cardiology. He has extensive experience in managing complex cardiovascular conditions and leads a multidisciplinary team at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, which is the largest university heart center in Germany.
