Prostate Cancer: Diagnosis and Treatment

Prostate cancer is the most common malignant disease in men. It develops in the prostate – a small gland located below the bladder that plays a key role in male reproductive function.

At our clinic, treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary team of urologists, oncologists, and other specialized experts. We tailor therapy to the stage of the disease and the individual needs of each patient, applying modern, minimally invasive, and evidence-based treatment methods.

Diagnostic Methods

  • Early Detection

- PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) test

- Digital rectal examination (DRE)

- MRI and CT for assessing tumor size, localization, and stage

  • MRI-Guided Biopsy

A highly precise and minimally invasive technique used to obtain tissue samples for accurate confirmation of the diagnosis.

Treatment Options

Depending on the stage of the disease, the patient's age, comorbidities, and individual factors, several therapeutic approaches may be considered:

  • Surgical Treatment

Radical prostatectomy – complete removal of the prostate gland.
We perform these procedures using the Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system.

Robotic surgery provides exceptional precision and minimal tissue trauma. This allows us to:

  • significantly reduce the risk of complications,
  • minimize blood loss,
  • lower postoperative pain,
  • support faster recovery and return to daily activities.

  • Radiation Therapy

Modern techniques, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), allow targeted treatment of the tumor while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues.

  • Hormone Therapy

Used to suppress testosterone levels, which drive tumor growth.

  • Chemotherapy

Applied in advanced stages or when other treatments are no longer effective.

Prevention and Follow-Up Care

Individual Counseling: we provide comprehensive information about the diagnosis and all available treatment options, enabling patients to make well-informed and confident decisions.

Regular Follow-Up: after treatment, patients undergo scheduled examinations to detect potential recurrences or complications at an early stage.

Psycho-oncological Support: our qualified psychologists and counselors offer emotional and psychosocial support for patients and their families throughout the entire treatment journey.

Our goal is to offer not only effective and state-of-the-art treatment, but also comprehensive support at every stage – from diagnosis to rehabilitation. Through a personalized approach and the use of advanced technologies, we strive to maintain the highest possible quality of life for our patients.
