Laser Techniques: HoLEP / ThuLEP
Our Department of Urology uses advanced laser technologies for the safe and effective treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
We offer two state-of-the-art minimally invasive procedures: Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and Thulium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (ThuLEP).
These techniques allow precise removal of excess prostate tissue compressing the urethra, without external incisions and with minimal risk of complications.
HoLEP
- Precise removal of hyperplastic prostate tissue using a holmium laser
- High accuracy with minimal blood loss
- Particularly suitable for patients with significantly enlarged prostates
- Enables histological examination of removed tissue to exclude malignancy
ThuLEP
- Gentle and effective removal of excess tissue using a thulium laser
- Excellent vascular coagulation with a very low risk of bleeding
- Performed transurethrally, without external incisions
