Professor Stolz welcomes you to the Department of Pneumology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
Our Department deals with prophylaxis, detection and treatment of acute or chronic diseases of the respiratory system and the lungs. 23 doctors and scientists work in our department providing you in addition to the proven treatment methods and the latest innovations in pneumology, the entire spectrum of the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The Medical Director of the Department of Pneumology, Prof. Dr. Daiana Stolz, MPH FCCP FERS, is internationally renowned for her clinical and scientific expertise in COPD, asthma, pulmonary infections, and interventional pneumology. We also have experts in a wide range of common and rare pulmonary diseases including sleep-related diseases (sleep apnoea), alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and malignancies such as lung cancer, up to and including lung transplantation.
Our specialists also actively take part in numerous national and international clinical research projects.
