Professor Dr. Horst Urbach
Medical Director of the Department of Neuroradiology
Prof. Dr. Horst Urbach, MD received his medial education in Bonn, Germany. After four years training in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine he decided to focus on Neuroradiology and was trained in Koblenz, Bonn, and Würzburg, Germany in oder to cover the full spectrum of diagnostic and intereventional Neuroradiology.
Since 2013, he has been Head of the Department of Neuroradiology at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg.
Clinical Expertise and Research Interests
- Epilepsy imaging
- Stroke diagnosis and therapy
- CSF disorders, including intracranial hypo- and hypertension
As former president of the Germany Society of Neuroradiology and German Research Foundation “Fachkollegiat” he maintains multiple national and international collaborations.
