Heart Center University of Freiburg

Welcome to the Heart Center, University of Freiburg. Our center is one of the largest in Europe and offers a full range of the most modern invasive and non-invasive treatments. Around 22.000 inpatients as well as 44.000 outpatients receive treatment from an interdisciplinary team at our center each year. We treated the most heart attacks in 2014 while also ranking in the top five clinics regarding for the number of cardiac valve surgeries performed.

The Heart Center, University of Freiburg stands for cutting-edge university medicine. The care we provide to our patients at our two facilities in Bad Krozingen and Freiburg meets the latest medical standards. At the same time, we are also engaged in research: cardiologists, surgeons, and vascular specialists work side by side with doctors and scientists from other disciplines to advance our knowledge on the causes and mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases.
