Infertility is a sensitive and relatively common condition affecting many couples.
At the Department of Urology of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, we offer specialized diagnostics and modern treatment options aimed at identifying the causes of male infertility and restoring fertility.
Our work is based on close collaboration between urologists, andrologists, and reproductive medicine specialists, ensuring a comprehensive and individualized approach for each patient.
Diagnostic Methods
- Semen analysis – assessment of sperm quality and quantity
- Hormonal testing – evaluation of hormonal causes of infertility
- Ultrasound examination – assessment of the testes and prostate gland
- Genetic testing – identification of hereditary diseases and genetic abnormalities
Treatment Options
- Pharmacological therapy to improve sperm quality and stimulate spermatogenesis
- Surgical treatment for anatomical abnormalities (e.g., varicocele)
- Assisted reproductive technologies (ART):
- intrauterine insemination (IUI)

- Microsurgical procedures to restore fertility following vasectomy
