At our doctor’s recommendation, my wife and I came to the University Medical Center Freiburg for a hip replacement.

I’d like to start with our arrival. We were met at the airport by a courteous driver in a comfortable car, which was very important to us.

Maria booked an excellent hotel for us and made sure that our room was spacious and comfortable. The clinic is of the highest standard: every issue was handled quickly and professionally. We were assisted by an interpreter, Nadezhda, who helped us with a wide range of matters, and we are especially grateful to her for that.

The surgery went very well. There had been an issue with leg length because the damaged joint had caused the affected leg to become significantly shorter than the healthy one, but that issue was also resolved.

I would also like to mention the anesthesia separately, as there were no unpleasant aftereffects at all. Quite the opposite.

All my vital signs were monitored around the clock. Every dietary preference was taken into account.

After the surgery, we went on to rehabilitation. The rehabilitation also went well. It has now been four months since the operation, and at last there is no pain, and my step is confident and steady.

Thank you to the entire clinic staff for their warm support and care. We now have a place we can always turn to without having to worry about anything.
