“I owe you all my life. I will never stop praying for you and your families.”

Inna Kozorizova, 48 years old, Ukraine

Diagnosis: ovarian cancer and rectal tumor

On May 13, 2025, during a gynecological appointment in Germany, Inna was suddenly told she needed urgent surgery. Three days later, on May 16, the procedure was performed in the city of Lörrach. Ten days after that, the histological results came in: stage I ovarian cancer.

“It was a shock. But I chose to fight and continued my treatment in Freiburg – at the University Medical Center. A second gynecological surgery was scheduled for June 25.
But the day before, on June 24, I underwent a colonoscopy. The results were another blow: a tumor was found in the rectum, and it too turned out to be malignant. The situation once again became unpredictable.
The team led by Professor Dr. Hannes Neef responded professionally and in perfect coordination. All necessary examinations were carried out in the shortest possible time. A major combined operation with HIPEC – hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy – was scheduled for July 17.

The surgery lasted over ten hours. And it saved my life.

I am deeply and sincerely grateful to every doctor and every nurse involved.
