Valvuloplasty
Balloon valvuloplasty is a minimally invasive procedure to treat valve stenosis by means of a catheter with an inflatable balloon at its tip. The procedure takes place under local anesthesia. Although this method can be applied to any of the four heart valves, it is mostly used to treat mitral valve stenosis.
